anybody supercharge a 420a? any problems? also looking for ideas for other mods, got a header and cai.

Hey kas, that 420a motor is DOHC motor that is in the neon R/T correct?? Do they come in anything else??? Maybe Tunerneon will chim in here and help us out!

TheKas I ran a turbo on my 98Neon DOHC, but I ran so much boost (12pounds) I had to have custom ground cams and a fordged crank put in to be able to handle it, but as for supercharging that motor it is pretty simple, just make sure you get the right size blow off valve ( I learned the hard way) and make sure ya get a Boost controller and guage or your motor will become a timebomb. Pretty much just follow all the instructions and you will be blowing Civics away in no time

yeah i had thought about going with a hahns racecraft turbo kit but i don't think i want to spend that much
what kind of turbo did you run tunnerneon? i know the 420a can handle the boost of either a turbo or a blower. i'm really happy with my header too so i'd rather drop the blower on it. do you know any sites where i can check out a supercharger for the 420a?

I had HKS make me a turbo. As for the sites I would check import supply sites like www.Nopi.com and other sites like that
