2 weeks old and Tranny trouble!!!

Pulled up to my house in the driveway and she wouldn't go into park :mad:. Then tried puting back down to drive..OK...but wouldn't go down into 1st gear.Tried to shift back up into park , could only get to reverse..Key turned engine shut down...Which it shouldn't do in reverse. No the truck won't start but i can insert the key and get "some" electrical.
Things I tried.
1. Switching back and forth between awd and 4wheel lock.
2. inserting key into door and locking and unlocking the security system.
About 600 miles on the car and I'm dealing with this

To top it off we've had winter weather in the Cascades and I can't get the roadside assistance people to come tow me to the dealership...happened Friday night !!

Recall time! Dealership time! Since your tranny is two weeks old, it should have a warranty. Sorry, these things tend to happen from time to time. Good luck! :)

believe me..I was on the phone the next morning...Thing that worried me was the sales manager told me to try the "switching from awd to 4wd and back again " thing cause sometimes the tranny has a habit of sticking when the Diff has been engaged. Why ?? He didn't know...just heard of it happening.
Are other people having tranny trouble?

Resurrecting an old thread as I have just had this problem, too. I did not try the AWD to 4-lock thing. I just drove it to the dealer and got a loaner for the weekend. (The salesman asked me if it was safe to drive. I said yes, but it was not safe to park....)
What did your dealer say was the problem?
