Yesterday, I was on my way to a meeting in a town that's about 30 miles from my house. I must admit that I was probably doing a tad over the limit. Pretty soon, I saw another Magnum ahead of me, so, I let her have her head so I could get a better look. Once I got up even with her, we waved at each other in an expression of a unique brotherhood. His was not an RT but it was brand new with no tags. A few minutes later, he sort pointed forward as if he wanted to see what they'd do, head to head.

He punched it it and instinctively, about a half a second later, I floored it and the Hemi reved up and she shifted down a few gears. We were doing about 60 mph and he was already about 2 car lengths ahead of me. It took me about 10 seconds and I was even with him and gaining fast. This went on for about a quarter mile. At that point, I was doing about 110, was smoking him badly and he had given up.

I'm sure that this was not a fair race. He had 2 people with him. I was alone. I had the Hemi. I felt pretty bad after all was said and done. I was thinking that he probably just got his Magnum and he was giving a ride to some friends and here I had to come along and piss on his parade. Sorry about that, but, I just couldn't resist ... I have little or no control ....

If my memory serves me, the XLT Magnum, has an option to change rear end gears.
This would allow him to have a faster/quicker starts and a slower top end.

I still don't understand what Dodge was thinking, when they decided to ignore potential buyers requests for a larger gear.
Especially when you are making a sports car.

If your V6 is as fast as the Hemi then no one would buy it.

Hey, don't sweat it. Remember that commercial?

Corvette driver: "What you got in there?"
Magnum driver: "Oh, a couple of two by fours, a surfboard, a bag of cement, and a half ton baby elephant..."

Ok, so the baby elephant wasn't part of it. :D

JamesJ2525, what the hell is that in your avatar?

That is a Brown Recluse spider bite after 10 days of non-treatment. I cropped it for my Avatar, that is the worst part. The guy got bit on his thumb, they had to amputate it.
