Hi everyone!
I'm a new owner of a 2004 cummins 600 ram 3500. I'm currently installing boost and pyrometer guages. I need help on hooking up the guage light power for both guages and I also need help on where to tap for 12v power to make the pyro guage function. It would be nice to tap the guage lights to the circuit where the dash light dimmer works too. Can somebody please help me on this? Thanks...

Most of us hook the power for the light directly to the rear of the headlight switch. The little panel pops right off to get the switch out and then I think it's the orange/white wire. I'll have to check. As far as the power wire, most are tapping into the cig lighter but I was too lazy and just ran a wire out to the fuse box and tapped into one of the fuses.....

I guess it really depends on where you're installing them. If you're putting them in the cubby hole (I have mine there--pics are in gallery) just tap into the power at the HVAC controls for illumination (easily tested with a test light while simultaneously rotating your dimmer switch). For the 12V switched power for the pyro, I chose the cigarette lighter. No problems with this install for over 13 months. If you're doing an A-Pillar mount, do the same thing at the headlight switch. Did you buy a boost bolt for the boost gauge ?
Hope this helps !

Thanks Greg and Dodgezilla!
I bought the autometer steering column dual guage pod and autometer phantom pyro and boost guage. Mine is going to be a little more difficult to work on since I have electronic on the fly 4 by switch and that make the cubbyhole smaller so I resorted to the steering column guage pod. I will open up the headlight switch tomorrow and see what I can do.

I'll see if I can find my directions for which headlight switch wire to tap in to......

I tought about the steering column mounts but then you can't see the odometer or gear selector.....
