Found this on another board.
Yeah that SRT truck is cool, but the average guy will never see one, much less get a chance to buy one. They are a limited deal and already sold out before the first one was finished. They were offered to current and past Viper owners first. (http://www.moparts.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/037137.html)
:(
Anyone work at a dealer that can comfirm or deny this?

As far as i know, it is NOT true.. but the last part is.

The only pre-order being taken on the SRT-10 truck is by people who own vipers ( i guess they figure, they have a viper, they got the $$ for a srt-10)

But since the truck is not even out yet (not until next year) i wouldnt worry about it .. yet.. most dealers dont even know what the SRT-10 ram is...

Check with the dealer in january/feb and see if you can get a preorder in then if you got the $, thats my suggestion anyway.. as when they come out they will be as hard to find as the new hemi.

As far I as I know a few people have put down deposits with their dealers for the Ram SRT-10, but this is on their own and not Dodge approved. There is NO price set yet. There is NO release date set yet. And there is NO production model Ram SRT-10 yet. And these Ram SRT-10s will be offered to the general public, not just Viper owners.

I was planning on getting one myself and then I discovered that I could, with lowering the seat 2", fit into a Viper, so I bought the Viper instead. I'm not going to be getting the Ram SRT-10 because I am happy with the performance of The Mighty Dodge (my truck-see below signature). And I am also happy with the performance of my Viper (heehee).

Hey Kenny, if you are happy with the performance of your Viper then why do you keep buying things to make it perfrom better?

I am extremely happy with the performance of my Viper. I just want to be orgasmically happy with the performance of my Viper!

:D :ylsuper: :stk: :evillaugh

About 800 HP is the practical limit for a street Viper. The late model Vipers have lightweight cast pistons and can't handle a supercharger that would get that much power without replacing the pistons with heavier forged pistons (big expense, too), plus taking out the gas tank to put in a bigger fuel pump (another big expense). I can go a little above 700 HP without having to pull the motor by just putting on 1.7 roller rockers. It's a little more than 25 HP for $600 for Arrow RR to $1300 for T&D RR plus labor.
If I don't find orgasmic happiness with 675 HP, I'll put on some 1.7 roller rockers, but I bet with 675 HP I'll be looking for a napkin and won't "need" the roller rockers.

The new SRT-10 Ram trucks are not sold out. The all new ("03") Vipers are they were sold to people who already had bought and owned Vipers. Most dealerships wont even see the SRT-10 until Jan-Feb when the Hemi 1500's rolls out out if at all.
