I'm picking up an '85 D100 4x4 on saturday.

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what transfer case should be in it.

Its got the 360 and a 727 tranny (tranny isn't original to the truck but do you know a 727 was the factory tranny?)

The PO said the frames on the Dodge trucks of this year are all the same. From what I gather, the D100 is a pretty stripped down truck. Are most parts from the D100/D250/etc interchangeble with this truck. Like if I got springs from D250 out of a U-pull-it, would they bolt right up and probably give me a bit of a lift since the springs on a D250 should be stiffer?
Bumpers interchangable too?

here's a pic of it

Its in nice overall shape. A bit of rust over the wheels, needs a seat, valve cover gaskets need to be changed and brakes need to be bled. Other than that, I think its all good to go. Oh yeah, looking for new wheels too!

It'll mostly be for home depot runs or for moving stuff and maybe in the snow. I've got a Grand Prix for my DD and also a jeep for in the snow.

thanks!

Yes the 727 was the factory automatic. Nice looking truck.

Not to be picky, but a 4x4 1/2 ton is known as a W100 not D100 which is 2WD. You'll need to know that when getting parts.

Body parts should be interchangeable, but as far as chassis parts, I'm not sure. I guess you should measure the length and width of your springs and compare them to the springs on a W250.

Ok, thanks Dodgevanman. The guy advertised it as a D100 4x4. Thanks for letting me know its actually a W100.

I'm planning on hitting a u-pull-it, so I can take measurements and look at other models there, and see what is alike and whats not. If anyone else can help with answers to my questions, feel free to answer!

yeah, springs will fit. dimensions are the same, just different number of leaves in them. tranfercase is probably either a NP241 or a NP208, not sure which. we got a 88 4x4 at the junk yard w/ a 318 and granny 4, it has a NP241D t-case. pretty much all the W250 parts will bolt up in your 150, frames are all the same. as long as you get all the associated hardware for whatever parts you swap in, you should be fine. no comment on the 360, see my other post lol
