Those of us who frequent 'other' forums will see this more than once..

I finally have a Black RT decorating my driveway!!

After sitting on my duff for 18 weeks listening to the same tired line ("it's still in 'BX' staus Mike, I don't know any more than that"), I decided to change the rules.

I sent 5 emails, one to the original dealer, and 4 more picked from the advanced search for inventory within 150 miles at dodge.com.

And last Thursday, my buddy gave me a ride to 'Big-O Dodge', in Greenville, SC. About 110 miles if you believe mapquest. I took the back roads on the way back, 122 miles but way less traffic. Small trip for an awesome car. My little black jewel is crouched in the driveway as I type this..calling "Drive Me!..Drive Me!". And I have to sit in here for the next three 12 hour days, not be able to..(hmm, I hear a Publix run at midnight calling me - "Sure dear, I'll go for ice cream, Roswell? Alpharetta? Marietta?" :-)

I have to give a plug to Scott Perkins at Big-O, he was confident that his deal would best the competitors, and he was right. Got more car for a LOT less dollars - I do like the sunroof, now that I've played with it a bit. Couldn't do that on the ride home much though, Torrential rains thru north GA and southern SC on I85 - lots of obstacles :-)

My Cellica GT-S driving buddy was impreessed a couple of times - rolling start 65 - ZERO contest, even as I heard his liitle motor hitting the high notes, the Hemi just pulled away like he's jacked the emergency brake. 60->100 is effortless, time to slow and it's got a LONG way to pull yet, you can feel it in your bones.

Getting 15% tint for the front side windows done on wednesday and pretty sure I can do eibach (1.3"? 1.6"? and borla soon.

I took Monday off, after it turned out to be a semi-nice day - that's two layers of Zaino and about 4 hours of work. I've never had a car shine up this well, ever - I assume because I've never laid out the bucks for Zaino products before.

All the Magnum colors are cool, it's just that black is cooler :-)

Just back from a spirited trip to the mall and Publix (Sure thing Dear, what would you like at the store? :-) - what an awesome car, there aren't enough superlatives to describe it. Like my Dad said after getting his V6 5speed Chevy Beretta, "This is the car I've been waiting for"

"Can you Zaino a car in the cold dark night?"

Congrats Mike ... she's sure a beauty. That finish is awesome.

I have my Zaino on order now and I can wait to lay on a few layers. I also got their leather cleaner and conditioner. They say that it really brings out the new car "leather" smell. There's just no smell better than a new car! Especially if it's wrapped around a Hemi....

I was running my hand over the silky smooth finish and got to the left front fender top and realized it had a less than perfect feel to it. Then it dawned on me that I hadn't done that fender with the claybar when I started.

It makes a serious difference - with zaino, preparation is the key, once the first layer is on it goes on like glass. I did that whole car with 1 ounce of Z5 with 5 drops of the ZFX flash accelerator in it. A little bit goes a long long ways.

Then mist it with the spray stuff, forget the number and it gets even better.

Years ago my brothers and I would get together and wash-n-wax cars and drink beer till we fell down, what we wouldn't have given to have this kind of product then - a LOT more time for beer! and a lot better looking cars too!!

I hang with a group of guys (yes and their wives too) and we have wash/wax parties in the summer about every month. We ONLY use zaino on our rides. They allways look good. Over the summer we got togeather and built a 3 bay garage in back of one our buddies houses so we can continue to drink beer and zaino right thru the winter! The wives are just there as designated drivers!

Zaino and beer, is like hotdogs and mustard if ya ain't got one the other aint no fun.
