just drill a hole in your intake tube and mount it there.
not sure about the warranty

Check out my gallery of pics in my profile.....there is a pic of my custom CAI and you can see that I relocated my IAT sensor right into the side of the CAI pipe. It is a general rule of thumb to put the IAT sensor abotu 6inches from the throttle body. Good luck with your mods!

I relocated my Iat sensor and now it will not stay running unless i hold the gas pedal. I need to make sure that I relocated the right sensor. Is it the one that in the intake right next to the 5th spark plug??

here's is where the IAT originally came from (again this is from a RAM, but I'd bet its real similar with a DAK)

To reset your PCM you take the neg battery cable off, turn your key to the start position for 20 seconds then back off. Put neg cable back on and your done. Now go reset your clock and stereo. FastDak where did you find the School bus? That thing rocks.
Did you find it on the web or did you see it in person?

where did you place the IAT sensor? Are you sure it is the IAT sensor that you moved? Make sure you have a good connection and you shouldnt have to reset your PCM after that mod.

Scott, I am not sure about the sensor, but I checked speedtweeks again and it looks like I got the right one. It acts like it's not getting fuel because when I turn the key, it tries to start but does'nt and then it wont even turn over. I have no clue what it could be. I'm desperate for help!!!

well I would put everything back the way it was and go from there.....you know the truck at least ran before you tried this so put things back. Did you add any wire to the sensor so that the harness could reach it? if so put the sensor back to a stock location and then try to start it if that doesnt work take out the extra wire you added to the harness and hook it up to the sensor in the stock location andtry to start it agian. Let me know what happens.

Scott, I put everything back the way it was and it is still the same. I'm still not sure what to do.

Dumb question but did you plug the hole the sensor was in after moveing it? Did you make sure you didnt cross the wires?
This question goes to all:
Could he have inadvertantly done something to lower his idle? Or is the PCM just getting a wrong, or even no reading from the sensor, leaning the air/fuel mix?
When I installed my IAT controller I didnt get a good connection at first and my engine wouldnt idle, it tried to stall unless I kept on the gas. I went back and respliced everything and even soddered each connection (using a heat sinck, of course) and everything was fine after.

Sorry for the late reply, I left the same day I was working on my truck to go Florida for the weekend and I just got back. Well, my truck is fixed now, turns out my throttle body was so built up with carbon it would'nt let the engine idol. I really appriciate all of the advise everyone gave me. I ended up taking it to the dealership and they figured it out pretty quick. I talked to the head mech. about my IAT sensor and he said it would help to move it. It makes me feel better to know that the mech said it was ok to move, cause alot of mechs say not to mess with your truck unless you pay someone to do it. Anyway, thanks for all the help, c-ya Jeff
