I currently have some electrical problems with my Magnum RT. I was wondering if anyone out there has the same problem as me. I believe a module keeps burning out. My curise, signal lights, highbean, wipers, ESP/BASE indicator light. All those fuction are disabled because of a burn on a module i believe. I am not sure. I brought it in once to the delaership and they said it was a burn in the fuse box. But it happened again. Maybe you guys have some idea of what it is so I can suggested it to the techs. Obviously they didn't eliminate the problem just replaced it without finding the real cause. If you have any ideas hopefully you could email me or post your comments for others that may have the same problem. Thanks

I have almost 6000 miles on my RT with no problems. It was one of the early built cars with the right hand pull. I just unloaded a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan that had extensive electrical problems since the day I bought it, and I took a big chance on Dodge again. I hope for our sake that this is just a fault with your car, and not everyones, and for your sake, that they can fix it fast. Don't do what I did and live with the aggravation for years. If they can't fix it soon, contact Dodge executives and push for a resolution. Good luck.

wasn't there a TSB out about a bad ground up around the dash???

Correct, was a grounding strap on the firewall that COULD cause a fire among other things. Need to go to dodge.com, owners page, put in the last 8 characters of your VIN number and see what recalls/SBAs are there for YOUR particular car.

Thanks for all this information. First time I brought my car in they said there was no recall on it. But I will let them know what others thought it may be and have them fix it ASAP before it is too late. It affected other things today which scared me. Such as the gas light, oil, battery, etc...

I had the same problem, 100 miles on my RT and the same dash warning lights as you appear, and wheel stalk power is all out. Some sensor module in the steering column needs to be replaced. My dealer, Huffines in Plano, Tx, found this out quickly by trying to force feed programming to it and it did not respond. Took a couple days to get new sensor module in but replaced and 200 miles later still fine. Have read of same problem on dodgemagnum.net, seems like a bad batch of modules...
Take it back and have them check it out.
