try sending it back saying it was falty and see if that works unless its over 30days or 90days what ever manufactiur says...

a cold air intake wont even pick up that much horsepower in a forced induction car.... unless you knocked some charge piping loose somewhere i have no clue why you would be loosing boost as the cai wouldnt add anything but the noise of the turbo spinning being more pronounced

there shouldn't be any boost loss from installing a CAI unless the elbow isn't fastened to the turbo as tight as it should. Check that and reset the PCM.(disconnect the battery)

Hey check it out I got a 04 srt-4 and i took the air box completely out. As soon as I did my boost lowered to 10 just like yours. I am positive that the problem is that there is a pressure sensor that senses the pressure in the intake and because the pressure reading is not what the manufactures wanted it drops boost to save the engine. I know for a fact it deals with the intake preasure because when my intake filter falls off my boost pressure does not go above 5. I am trying desperatly to find that vacume hose and make it think what it wants.

More advice, On ebay right now is a standard manual boost controller. I have just bought it and it will be here in two more days. Now if this works right I will be telling the wastegate the pressure that I want it to know. That means a higher and a steadier boost. The best part is that it only costs 35$.

Is your car stage 1? Do you have an adjustable wastegate? If you have neither of these you will throw an OVERBOOST CODE

even with a wga it will throw an overboost code. you need a stage ecu to fix that.

whenever installing anything new on the car, always reset the ecu afterwards, and again in a few hundred miles. the ecu's on these cars are active learning, and as such they need time to adjust to the new modification. weather also plays a role in this, warmer weather will see higher boost levels. if there has been a change in your weather recently this could also be the cause. but definetly reset the ecu.

exactly what she said.
