Hey y'all, Got a ? for anyone who has been down this road. I have a '96 Cirrus, and the exhaust pipe is actually patched into the (rear) SIDE of the muffler. I've never seen anything as looney as this setup! Is there a performance muffler out there like this? Maybe I will have to have have a pipe custom bent. but I'm not sure that there is a way to do it, or Mopar would have, wouldn't ya think? If I come in the same way, with a new pipe, it's gonna have 1 - 90 degree angle, and 1 more bend even tighter than 90, plus, I will have to come up with a much shorter muffler, that is if there is no Hi-Po muffler built like this OEM one, which I doubt there is, (I can't find one)
Those 2 tight bends that close, or any place, for that matter, will undoubtably restrict the exhaust & hurt performance. I can get a polished stainless resonator that will fit, but I'm wonder'n how loud it would be? It may sound pretty cool. Any ideas fella's?
This little Cirrus has no business running as hard as it does, as it is very quick, for what it is. I think, wait, I know with a K&N CAI, & performance muffler added, this little muther would charge even harder, & surprize a few imports!
Thanks for lookin' & trying 2 help! 'bird

wI've seen that and its funny. They changed that on the 2gsedans. Mine was just a normal install. I would suggest checking stratusphere for how people done it there.
