OK! I'll be dating myself but I use to see the Little Red Wagon and, if any9one remembers it, The Green Monster, at Green Valley Raceway outside of Dallas, Texas back in the 60s amd 70s. Awesome vehicles, both of them. Actually had the opportunity to be in the pits one day and get an up close with the LRW. Years ago but seems like yesterday. Oh well, now it is play time with my new MOPAR toy.

Remember the Backup Pickup?
Same dodge wagon...but the body was mounted backward on the frame. Did wheelies and made U turns at the end of the track and came back!
I used to live accross the street from Tom "Smoker" Smith...his son and I were the same age and we used to hang out all the time. Went to a lot of drag races with them back in the 60's. Smitty is now in the hall of fame. Do a search on his name. he was the first to organize funny car drivers and start a circuit. Man those were cool days.
He made a MOPAR man outta me! First car I ever owned was a 67 Formula S Cuda.
Wow....and my Magnum would leave it sitting still!

I also remember the lil red wagon, green monster, hemi under glass, Chuck Pooles chuckwagon, nitro motors without balistic blankets covering them and yes, short wheelbase blown fuel alterds. AHHHH YES, those were the days.

Before this he had
1965 Plymouth Belvedere Hemi with Hilborn injectors ran nitro/alcohol mix
1966 Plymouth Cuda "Smokeruda"
Been trying to get in touch with him so I can get pictures of these early cars he drove...

Man, those were the days. Lots of power and smoke!! Burnouts, flameouts, engines blowin parts everywhere. I remember the first time I saw Don Garlitts in his rear engined slingshot. What great times they were. Does anyone remember a guy from Oklahoma named Glen Self, had the fastest inline 6 inthe world for years. He's still in business , his website is http://www.selfracing.com
Sure do miss my old '67 Cuda though.

Now that's the color Dodge should have used!
I love a nice bright red, but for a 'High Performance Luxury Touring Wagon' the Inferno Red is more appropriate!!
Likewise, I would have liked a real snow white, but Dodge apparently thinks that Cool Vanilla is more upscale! I call it 'Light Tan'!! Cool Vanilla is too vanilla, and not enough cool, for a Magnum!! Dodge dropped Mineral Gray, but kept Cool Vanilla!!??!! :banghead:
