Saturday night it was raining. On the way home some guy in a mustang kept riding my tail between stoplights. We got to a stoplight where I was first. When the light changed I pulled away like I normally would and of course he was right on my tail, so I punched it. I felt the tires break loose for about a second and then that AWD RT just got up and walked....RAN away from the guy in the mustang who I could see, through my rearview mirror, was fish tailing all over the place . He didn't ride my a** after that.......Dumb a**. Guess he didn't see the AWD badge on the back.

You would have beat him with 2 wd with the esp system on. Gotta feel sorry for the Mustang owners though.

Lol! How about Those people who get on the inside turn lane next to you...waiting for the light to turn green so they can outrace you through the turn to the freeway onramp and get in front of you...... HA! Can happly report that I am 10-0 so far. :rck:

Ha, nice little example of traction control superiority !!!

Yeap, i smoked my first car the other day too, and I am not usually the type to "smoke" people. Rather conservative... sigh

Anyways, sitting at a light, next to a BMW 5 series, and noticed the dude was a senior citizen. Because of the way he came up to the light, at speed, I could tell he was gonna run it. Well, he might use a little more discrection next time he comes up to a Magnum at a light... what fun... I love this car !

BMW smoking is by far the best! Especially if it's a senior thinking your just some punk kid.....oh yeah!

I live next to Hilton Head, SC. Very high retirement area. Lots of BMW's and Cadi's. 300's tend to do better in this area. The Magnum owners all know each other on sight because there are so few of them. The conservative nature though lends to more v-6's and only a hand full of R/T's.

Had the same encounter the other night. A C-class Benz wanted to see what the R/T was all about. We were rolling 50 mph at the foot of the HH bridge. Couldn't resist and smoked him... going up hill. I like the fact that the price tag and size tends to make the R/T owners a little older. I think that commands a little respect. Can't relate to the import kids that think stickers and a HUGE exhaust tip makes the car go fast.

I've still not smoked anybody but my magnum is just two days old.
I did turn off the esp to see what it would really do.
daaaaammmnn
I wasn't all that impressed until I did the sideways david lee roth in a t bucket in the hot for teacher video for about 50 yards.

Now I'm in da mode.

I can see that now. I wasnt goin for that when I photoshopped it.
It's the stock black RT from dodge's site. I just modified it like mine'll be lookin in a year or so.
If I find a hood with a double scoop like that, I'll be all gitty.
hell, I am anyway... this thing freakin rules, man.

That makes 2 of us. The car is the Turbo Interceptor

If they ever produced this car I'd buy one.

I remember as a kid by brother and I must have watched Wraith lik 28 times. That nut "First one to dead man's curve wins. You lose the race you lose your car." I remember seeing the Chrysler emblem on the front. I love the way it sounded. B&B exhaust on a vett sounds like that.

No offense,

But don't you think engaging in an illegal street race, at night, and while it's raining is not the brightest thing to do.

First off, what about practicing what you preach.

:VHOT: :VHOT: In defense of the performance people here :drivingz: and those who still have a little bit of the warrior in them :nutkick: , here goes.
First, it was NOT a street race from what I read but a person "clearing himself from an apparent dangerous driver who did not know the inherent dangers of tailgating and driving recklessly in the rain. The owner of the AWD Magnum KNEW what his car was capable of under the current conditions and was just removing himself to a safe distance from the "dumb mustang" driver. So, if we are going to get all sanctimonious  , remember, "Let he among you who is without sin, cast the first stone" or "People that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" or "Judge not lest ye be judged". Do I need to go any further??? :WHT: :WHT: :WHT:

BTW, When you gonna get rid of the REST of your Dodges and then join a NISSAN forum???

Learn what deride means.

Main Entry: de·ride
Pronunciation: di-'rId, dE-
Function: transitive verb
Inflected Form(s): de·rid·ed; de·rid·ing
Etymology: Latin deridEre, from de- + ridEre to laugh
1 : to laugh at contemptuously
2 : to subject to usually bitter or contemptuous ridicule

No offense,

But don't you think engaging in an illegal street race, at night, and while it's raining is not the brightest thing to do

Don't give me that happy horse crap. Everyone knows that you don't "punch it" because someone is tailgating you. You merge over a lane and let them pass if possible.

BTW, When you gonna get rid of the REST of your Dodges and then join a NISSAN forum???

According to both of your profiles, the two of you have been members of this website for only a few months. It sounds like the two of you are immature teens who got a Dodge because Mommy and Daddy bought it for you.

I have been here for 2 years, still drive a Dodge truck. I have owned Dodge Trucks for the last seven years. I have the right to post on this forum even if I wasn't a Dodge owner. Deal with it!

I have no issue with driving my Titan. More Americans are employed to design, build, and test Nissan Titans than Dodge Rams, where jobs are exported to Mexico.

Seems to me like you wuz incineratin' the boy was STUPID to me!! That sorta borders on bein' contemptuous to us ole' southern boys ya know!! ALso, arent' there MANY races that go into the night like Le Mans just to mention one. Most STOCK CAR races, dirt track etc, you know, where all the PRO RACERS come from, are done at night on the amateur level.

A true warrior does not get his rocks off by street racing and calling all Mustang owners Dumb Asses

Uh, he didnt' call them ALL dumb asses, just THAT ONE!

Now I understand. How long you lived in SoCal anyway and did you REALLY vote for Arnie???

:thatfunny :thatfunny
(Just kidding!! hope you can take another joke!)

Just a little FYI. Been a MOPAR OWNER for over 30 years, not a MAMA DADA boy like you seem to think. Started with a Dart as my first car, '68 Roadrunner and had all sorts of MOPAR products as personal vehicle, race car (both oval and 1/4 mile), and my father and gradfather were MOPAR men with all our farm trucks as well. As a matter of fact, the old Hemi out of our old 2-1/2 ton truck is still working as an irrigation pump to this very day!

Gosh, some people are so thin skinned and just can't deal with the fact that people have different views about what is and what is not!! Personally, I don't like to have opinions offered unless they are solicited. :rck:

So, as you so aptly put it, Get over it and DEAL WITH IT!

Take care and God Bless America where we are INDIVIDUALS and have the right to not conform to others views or beliefs. :gr_patrio

Just a quick addendum to my little tirade from above ;D
Since you are in law enforcement, this might interest you. The Houston Police have a great program that has virtually taken ALL street racing from the street and to the strip. The car clubs, gangs, etc, that participated in street racing, now get free time at one of our local 1/4 strips every week and get to race AGAINST THE COPS!! Not in any PUBLIC police cars, but their own, many HIGHLY modified, street rods. SO, now, off the soapbox and back to something productive and not judgemental.

One last thing, this is DE RIDE I have right now. LOL sorry just couldn't pass it up.

But those are sanctioned and legal races.

29 1/2 years.

Yes I did vote for Arnold, although he is more liberal than what I prefer. He is still better than the former governor Gray Davis.

I live 3 miles from LACR (http://www.lacr.net/) where you can race legally. I like what Houston does, it sounds like fun.

Just let it go, maybe you should be a state patrol officer and then you can preach to people all day long.

Bet your first car was bought for you by Mommy and Daddy. I on the other hand
paid for my first car in cash.

Geez people, chill out. Last time I checked the bad people were on the other forums. Last thing we need is internal fighting. Seems like everytime someone posts about beating another vehicle someone always jumps in and calls them out. If you cant say nothing nice, dont say nothing at all!
