Reverse Doesn't exist?

I was just curious if anyone has had any Tranny Slippage Problems with the 02 1500 Quad cab 4.7
the other day i was leaving the house and i put the truck into R and i got Revvie but no Movvie.
so i put it in N and then back into R and it woiks
now i know it could be the cable needs adjustment but all fluids are good.

Any Band Slippage anyone??????

actually, this happened to me for the first time yesterday.

My '02--5.9 Auto will do this if the gear selector does not engage steering column detent properly. I need the Dealer to adjust the shift lever mechinism.

that's what i'm thinkin' this is.
either the cable is out of adjustment or the gear selector mechanism is goofy and needs adjustment/replacement

I was just crossing my fingers that there were no reported tranny issues that i missed.

Mine sorta has done it too. If you shift it out of P and 'think' you put it in R, its actually in N, the gear selector is kinda weird like that.

Ive had the same thing occur a couple times---always when aiming for reverse...
