Yeh, in my original thread, I made mention of a 'vette - my bad. Anyway, I was asked for a link. I uploaded it to my superford page, so it's not going to be there too long. I would recommend Right Click, Save As...

I don't know anything else about this, other than what you're about to see, but I sure got a kick out of it :rck:

I just happened to find the guy's website, about the van - http://www.turbovan.net/van.html

Now, I'm thinking of going ahead with adding a turbo to the 2.2

*Edit - after looking at his page to see how much he spent for it all, I've decided against the idea. I could easily see myself heading in the same direction. I can't do something, just to do it, I have to overdo it

I've seen that clip before, but cool to watch nonetheless !

I've also got a clip of a dodge dually taking on, what looks like, a mustang. He smokes it in the 1/4 with an 11sec time

*Edit - as well as one of an '03 3500 CC dually, doing burnouts in a parking lot :rck:

I'd be interested in seeing that clip, I've seen clips of a regular axle CC Ram taking on a mazda and whupping it, but the dually would be awesome.

I am going to try to beat that guys record of a 12.61@105 on the 20th. I have trapped 108 before, I just need to get the power to the ground throughout the whole 1/4 and I think I have it.

Just out of curiosity, I see lots of talk from guys with turbo minivans about engine mods, but what kind of suspension tweaks do you employ? How do you manage weight transfer and torque steer in a front-drive package?

Well, I have a limited slip differential, and air shocks in the back that I pump up to 120 psi at the track. I still have the stock struts int he front though (which I plan on fixing) I am going to try some blocks in the rear to help weight transfer. I still have bad ass drop even with the air shocks. I guess thats what happens when you pull 1.8 60ft's with fwd..

Have you thought about the rebuildable shocks like the NASCAR guys use? You can build in the necessary compression and rebound on all four corners. There are three manufacturers that I know of -- Bilstein, Penske and Ohlins. You'd probably have to change your mounts, though.
