This morning I just filled up our van (2005 GC), and the gauge went half way up quick then moved very slow till 3/4 tank thats when we arrived at our stop, about 5 minutes later. Then turned off the van and restarted and the guage when all the way to full like normal. The qusestion is this normal sometimes? Has it happened to anyone else? Its most likly nothing, just curious. :)

Just wondering, where did you fuel up ? I have heard that certain fuel station's additives/detergents gum up the fuel sensors that indicate how full the gas gauge is. Most notably, I've heard Shell gas is the worse for screwing up Chrysler gas gauges.

Cheveron. It went back to normal after the van was shut back off and restarted. It was just taking it sweet azz time to get there. :D

Seems like normal gauge operation. The needle is controlled by a module. It is not directly connected to the sensor in the tank. The module takes the average reading and points the needle to that place on your fuel gauge. You should see erratic movement after a fillup for about 10 miles. especially if you do not cycle your key off during fillup.
