Hey Gang,

The snow has started falling here in the Denver area which got me thinking about getting some splash guards.
I seem to remember someone posting about how the hard plastic splash guards you pick up from the dealer has a bad design. The area away from the tire is solid plastic which shows the Ram symbol. But, the side that faces the tire is indented (almost looks like book-shelving, can you picture it?) and would capture snow instead of deflecting it.
I thought there was mention of an aftermarket set which has a better design (solid on both sides) and picked up at a local parts store.
Was wondering if you can remind me where you bought them and if possible the part #.

I tried using the forum search feature and could not find the thread. :grum:

Thanks,
Jay P

Jay--just picked up my 05 Durango yeaterday. Purchased the dealer/Dodge molded splash guards @ $39 ea pair-front and rear are different!. With no running board, they look great. Easy to install, just a little drilling and all parts included for a 1 hour installation. Must have changed design as I didn't see a need to drill a releaf hole on the bottom.

The dealer also carried a flat setup for a few less dollars but the molded set were more than worth the difference!

the molded mud flaps are really nice. I've had mine for 3 years, installed them myself in the driveway. I don't have a 2Gen D but this gives you the idea. I used two rivets to hold it on the wheel well plastic as well as the three screws.

Thanks for the Link. I just ordered myself a pair for both the front and rear. I'll show 'em off when I get them on.

check out the link in my "sig" if you will....

I just put the front ones on to stop the rocks from slinging off of the front tires down the side of the vehicle. I haven't put rear ones on.

Beutiful color!!
I also really like the interior colors!!
About the mud flaps, it looks like it really doesnt help much with the mud slinging down the side.
They should have meade them a bit longer.
