Anybody know if the old style fob (the separate transmitter not built into the key) will work with the 2005 Caravans? I always like to have an extra set of keys in the house and if I can make it work I will just cut a normal key to save a few bucks.

Not if the van is equipped with the ignition imobilizer.

Yes, use key blank part# 5134937AA. We have had to use this blank for customers installing aftermarket remote starter systems.

But will the remote from last years models operate the doors/locks? I know I can get a key cut, but was wondering about the remote working.
