Hey does any of you guys know if the ecu have anything to do with the transmission because on first gear i cannot shift and there seems to be a lock. I just repaired the transmission and im wondering if i have to go through the ecu. this is to a 94 caravan

Is this a manual transmission? You said that you cannot shift out of first.

yeah it is a manual transmission and i do not know how to get it out of first gear. Is it because of the ecu?

The ECM usually has nothing to do with a manual trans. You said your repaired the transmission. What exactly was done? It could be a syncronizer or other mechanical part inside the transmission that jamming the shifter mechanism.
