Hey im kyle and im lookin at a 89 dodge pickup i dont know which model or which engine ill know on sunday or if i find out sooner ill let u know..It is a short bed with 4wd thats bout all i know..He said it smokes (dunno how much yet) but other than that it drove great. He said it also has a alot of miles on it not quite sure how many. I just wanna know if theres ne thing i should look for when buying this truck, any tips would be helpfull :)

First Dodge? if so welcome to the best built trucks ever. Ok, First its an 89 so its a Power Ram W series and prob a 1500 so its a W150. The engine is gonna be a 318 or 360. What you want to look at is, how hard has it been drivin, how often and how hard does he use the 4wheel, check the tire wear on the front tires. Does it have auto or manu. trany? How does it shift? any klunking when putting it in drive? Check all the belts and hoses and fluids. vac. lines on the 4wheel drive.
Smoking could be a number of things.
