Thermal R&D (twin pipes exiting on the right side), or R/T rear bumper with Thermal system for an R/T

I'm thinking about getting the Borla dual exhaust system....full piping (with no welding or cutting needed) all stainless steel (even the clamps) dual outlet (nice oval tips)...its mainly $550 depending on the site/person you buy it from (i found them for $550 on modern performance).....and its only $60-$80 more than the Thermal R&D.....

what's up? the borla is nice, i put it on my 04 sxt, and i bought it from modern performance. it's a nice looking exhaust, sounds killer, and is great quality. but if i could do it all over again, i would definitely get the thermal r&d dual outlet axle back exhaust, without a doubt!!!! before you buy the borla think about this. you are going to need to cut about three inches off the piping where you connect to the cat converter, and either buy an adapter, or have one made. the stock piping on your neon is 2.25, the piping on the borla is 2.25, so of course they don't fit together. i didn't find this out until i had mine almost all installed. i thought everything you thought when i bought my borla. also the tips aren't oval shaped like it shows on the web site. they are round, but they look really good, it looks exactly like the thermal r&d dual exhaust tips, actually exactly like the thermal r&d but with borla written on it. so if you want an exhaust with the same performance, sound, and look, for a couple hundred less, you can get the thermal r&d dual outlet and go to a local garage that does exhaust and have them make the rest of the piping for you for about $50, midas will probably do it cheaper. you will have the exact same exhaust for a lot cheaper, just without the borla name. but like i said my exhaust is killer looking and sounds great, i'm happy with it, but you will have to cut some and get an adapter. and if you're looking to get some extra horse from the borla it will be minimal with the 2.25 piping, you'll get better flow with the muffler and that's it. just trying to warn you, good luck

i'm sorry man, the thermal may not fit your car, almost positive that the pipe looks the same on the axle back as any other, may need to be bent. the vibrant fits an 03/04 and it says 2000?? magnaflow has some nice cat-backs on trubendz.com also.
