Title pretty much says it all. I've already ordered my 05 rt awd, now Im doing some hard research on it. Is there any information on roughly how much hp the stock transmission and awd components can handle? I plan on takin this beauty to 600 at the crank. Would like to know if I need to start ordering beefed up components, if any exist atm.
Any help would be appreciated.

Horsepower will not break anything, torque will. You need to compare torque numbers and get torque ratings for components.

I think it's 580nm of torque...not sure tho

It also depends on how fast you want to spin the engine as well to make that power... most transmissions have a maximum RPM for the input shaft. You could have a relatively low torque motor that makes 600 HP at 9500 RPMs, but I would almost guarentee you wouldn't get more than a couple of runs from the stock transmission.
Anyhow, if you are going to make an engine have that much power (torque), then you should be first thinking about upgrading the drivetrain, and probably stay away from the AWD... for no other reason that there are more things to bind and break under load in the AWD system. Also, it is new, and as far as I know yet to be proven under loads that heavy. But, if you want to be the ginnea pig, I am sure you would have a lot of people (including myself) drooling over your results!!! :rck:
