Hello, currently shopping for RT, wanted to know what aftermarket performance items can be added or done that won't affect or mess up the fuel displacement system. I have a long commute everyday, and I do have a need for the kick to 4 cylinders, but would like to boost the fuel economy and Horsepower even more. I had heard the programmers can't be used, because it would mess up the fuel displacement system. So what can be done that won't impact or disallow the system not to function properly and cause a warranty void. I appreciate all your help, and I hope to be an owner of one of these tough looking cars by tommorow.
Thanks

Best thing you can do for these cars is let that HEMI BREATHE!!! Both the air in and the air out is very restrictive. Let's face it DC set this car up as a family cruiser.

I have already modified the exhaust with a big boost in performance. 0-60 times are down from 6.17 to 5.55. Initial mpg tests are showing about 1.7 mpg improvement (as long as I keep my foot out of it). I am going to add a cold air intake this weekend and that should just about do it for a while.

Neither of these items should void your warranty. The only thing that gets voided is the part that gets replaced. In other words, I have removed the stock exhaust and therefore the exhaust is no longer covered by the warranty. Makes sense to me, why should they cover aftermarket parts??

There will be many things coming out in the future to improve performance in these great cars we will just have to be patient while someone figures out how to hack into the computer systems and open up more hp for us.

Give "Group 4" Full Synthetic oil a shot. That will boost your mileage and horsepower up.
