Hello. For some time ago, some months i bought a Dodge Stratus and now i have orderer bodykit. Well, since the look of the car now is good, i want my car to go fast. :IDEA: Is there possible to buy some turbo kits or something? Here in norway there is no such thing. But i want it bad. ;) My engine is a 2.0 16V injection. Anyone who maybe can fix this for me? And what does this cost?

Check on the Neon boards. They have the same exact engine and would be able to help ya find parts needed and might be able to help you. I only know of one turboed Stratus on our stratus board and not sure if hes still a member there.

I do know that you can get a supercharger for your stratus .....that could be an option......

All you have to do is go to Mexico they have all of the turbo Stratus you could ever want. Seeing that is where the factory ships them all.

the mexican ones are the 2.4 DOHC engines that are turboed. I don't think there is a turbo v6

Sorry about the 6cyl yes they are 4cyl. As to what years they are making them NOW and have been for a few years. They are built here in Mich at SHAP . They are only sold in Mexico so drive on down. They do have Turbo emblems on them if you want to see one let me know and I will get a photo of one of the emblems

No turbo cars are sold here in the USA if you want one you will have to go down there and bring one back. The emblem is on the trunk lid it is about 3 1/2 inche long says TURBO in letters that are about 3/4 inch tall. Under that it says 2.4L DOHC in 1/4 inch letters

Why would they want to send the high buck cars to such a poor country (Sorry my mexican homeboy's, just stating facts), when they could prolly tack on another $500-$1000 for a Turbo version (and get it!) up here in the US? isn't that an srt-4 motor?
and yes, it may be an rt with intake and exhaust, but the potential for more power is 2 times bigger

Not quite an srt4 motor. Same 2.4 L motor, but gives about 5 hp to the srt4. Smaller injectors, different ECU. No 5-speed(auto-stick) It will do a quarter mile in about 15 sec. Just bought one down here in sunny 'ol mexico, and its a nice car. Drives gr8. I am a st louisan loving, i mean living down here. I also have a 94 Taurus SHO, and this stratus just does circles around it. I am very impressed. Bird' ,don't hate.homie. Mexico is a beautiful place. Dont think poor, think corrupt!

There's plenty of potential to get power out of the v6. I don't think that 2.4 has more potential. Not in a 3200 lb sedan. Maybe in the SRT-4 you can get better 1/4 mile times.
As far as the "whoosh" sound from a supercharger vs. a turbo....the bov in my stage 1 supercharger is loud as hell. You can easily tell it's not stock if I rev at a light.
Oh...and turbostratguy...what part of mexico you live in? The wife and I plan on retiring there and so far, cancun is our #1 choice. I love Mexico!

Well thats just CRAZY i have 2003 stratus and i want a turbo! I have looked at the supercharger that rip mods has as well and it dosent look to bad either! If you do get that ztrike make sure you post some pictures!

not sure if it was said but dreamspeed has been pumping out some turbo kits for stratus'. Has 2 different turbos, a remote mount turbo kit and a conventional mount turbo kit. Though they are mostly for the 1gen strat, not sure if he is going to make some for the 2g crowd.
