Hello...gang
Have a small problem with my caravan. I have no heat! Nothing but cool air. The t-stat is coming up to normal position and everything. Had hoses checked and heater door...I think thats what its called checked. Still nothing. Please help! Getting chilly in Nova Scotia fall is upon us! Thanks

Could have an air lock in the system or the water valve may be jammed in the closed position(rocks).

Are the heater hoses getting hot, have you backflushed the heater core?

Thanks Six Pack for your reply.

Will have to check the valve and air lock!

The hoses are getting hot.. .so maybe a flapper...or door isnt opening properly.

Thanks Again

I have a 96 Town & Country with the dual-zone (drivers-side/passengers-side) climate control. The passengers side tends to be fussy in the winter because an exploding can of Dr. Pepper hosed down the front of the dash a couple of summers ago. It messed up the works inside the sliding lever that controls temperature for that side. The control is electronic, and despite disassembling and cleaning thoroughly with distilled water, it still goes out intermittently. If I fool with it, the heat comes back on the passenger side. One of these days I'll replace the works (correct me here, folks; is this thing what they call a rheostat?)

On older Mopars (and most other vehicles), the temperature control lever worked a cable that mechanically opened and closed vents for heat. I've seen these cables pop off or break, and I've also seen the lever itself break as well.

I don't know what was standard on the 94s, but you may want to look at your temperature control lever on the dash to see if it still does what it's supposed to.

Where is the water valve located on a 98 caravan 3.3L?

Replace the rad cap. I lived without heat for 5 years. That's all it was . Checked everything else and did all the recomendations from this and other forums. a $5.99 Rad cap from C. Tire fixed me up. And yes, it has been cold here in N.S. the past 5 winters :D
