The problem with my transmission is this. It won't shift into 2nd gear automatically, I have to do it manually. Then it won't shift into 3rd. It just runs at high RPMs. Then when the RPMs get high enough, it stops accelerating and just sputters.
Now for the other problem. There is a high pitch whining coming from the engine. It sounds like it is towards the back and in the middle. It only does it while I am accelerating. It just started doing this about a week ago. I had it in the mechanic to replace the belt tentioner and serpentine belt. The mechanic said it was running good and didn't see anything wrong. Then after I got it back, the transmission started acting up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
