Wrecked My Neon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's true

was at some SCCA Solo II races today when going through the Schicane (spelling?) the back end washed out and I spun into the catch fench and THROUGH the catch fence ripping the back bumper off and bending my wing, also tore my exhuast off of the car and bent a rim. My Speed at the time was about 55mph

gods attempt at saying loose the rear wing.... looks like he went a bit heavy handed sorry for the misfortune atleast they are cheap cars to replace

well atleast I have yet to buy a body kit for it cuase I woulda been even more upset that it woulda messed up the kit. I will be searchin E-bay for a new back bumper and wheel. I can't belive this happened though, I am a damn good driver, been racing and winning SCCA Solo II events for yrs and NEVER lost control

i blame it all on the wing and green turn signals ;) seriously though i thought at first you had totaled it but sounds like you can fix it im sure you can find the parts you need on ebay if not the junkyard

Zeus you are one of the few ppl on here I will let mess around with me due to we have not had any problems. I will admit that there has been a handling improvement after I installed the wing and the front Nose Air Spliters over stock, it seams to grip just a lil more, I think I just drove it in to hard.

And yeah the damage other than Exhuast and rim are just cosmetic

o see i didnt realize you had nose splitters too.... that will help and with the added downforce on the front from the splinters you could use a wing but thats were "tasteful" comes into play me personally i like a small wing (even though i know a small one doesnt do much for downforce and only is for asthetics) i think one the size of the evolution upgraded wing or the srt-4 wing is very tasteful with the bodylines of the car too.....

i would blame the loose of traction probally on bad tires then? with to aggressive of a line, o well learn from the mistakes..... im getting ready to roast my rear tires i will have a movie of that within the next two weeks once i find a good place to do it that and then run and get the new tires mounted

Yeah I got the spliters cuase I have not got me a bodykit yet (which will add the downforce). My wing is small it is only a Single blade didn't want one of them huge Aluminum wings. But yeah I think I just drove in to deep cuase I was one of the fastest cars and wanted to be the fastest. I had already run two other runs and posted 1:36.33 and 1:32.5 and was trying to beat the top car at 1:31.8

I wouldn't even run a wing if I wasn't Solo racing

Well when I called dad and asked him to come get me cuase my Neon was leaving behind a tow truck he didn't sound to happy but he seen the car and one of the officals explained what happened cuase I was at the Ambulance getting checked out (mandatory) and he wasn't to bad, I got the Neon back today and have already won a rear bumper off E-bay and still looking for a wheel and exhuast

when you gettin your car fixed? i got my neon fixed in 3 weeks because some dumbass run on redlight while im makin a u turn and im the second car too, i wonder how he didnt see that first car make a turn.. oh well its cool because i just got my car back.... just happy drivin it for a week now

well I already got a new back bumper and wing and splitter, and just need a wheel ( I am driving it again with a borrowed wheel) and I got a temp exhuast on it so it is back on the road as of this morning
