When we picked up our Magnum the dealer had installed 20x9" wheels and 265/35/20 tires. It looked great but the clearance between the top of the 29" tall tires and the bottom of the upper ball joint was 1/8"...too close for my taste. We had them take 'em off (mostly because they wanted $3500 for the wheel/tire upgrade) and put the skinnny 215/65/17's back on. This prompted a trip to Les Schwab (left coast tire chain) for some new rims/tires. According to the tire store, the offset reccomended is 15-20mm. Not too common as it turns out. Any way we found some 17x8" Raceline GTs that have a 12mm offset and are supposed to work (wheels won't be in till Fri., tires next week).
We're going to put 275/50/17's on, should be a great improvement over the 215/65/17s. Anybody else have wheel/tire stories to tell?

Big wheels (http://www.bigwheels.net) has a really good selection. All the way up to 22 inches. Their site is really cool all you do is select the car from a drop down list and it will recommend wheel and tire combos that are very close to factory height. And yes, they do have the Magnum listed. :rck:

Thanks Freak,
I cancelled the local order & found some 18s w/chrome finish(what my wife really wanted) for only $100 more on bigwheels. I ordered Zennetti Milanos w/ BFG KDWs in size 255/55/18. Then I get an email telling me that the wheels have been discontinued & to call them. The Milanos were on sale, one of the reasons that I chose them (discounted $230). None of the other wheels that I liked were on sale so I was getting frustrated :VHOT: . I told them that I wanted to get a deal like what we had already made & not spend a bunch more money. THEY WENT THE EXTRA MILE AND WORKED w/ME! I told them that I liked the Zennetti Bliss (which goes for $358 per wheel opposed to $217 per wheel for the Milanos)....well they couldn't give them to me for the original price but did discount them to $248 per wheel. So I did end up paying a little more but saved $440 instead of $230. Since they are located in San Jose shipping is reasonable and I should be :pimp:'n soon!

Great choice in wheels. I am still debating on what to put on my car when it gets here next week. Thinking about some 18 inch Jesse James wheels. The 44 Magnum wheels. 18 X 8.5. May wait a little while. Rims will be about $2,200 without tires.
