is it possible to get the 3.5L engine in the SE model magnum as an upgrade or anything like that? i thought i heard something about that but i cant fint the information anywhere.

Judging from the Dodge web site you cannot have the SE with the 3.5. You must select the SXT. Not saying you can't but from what I have seen it is not an option.

yeah... thats what i gather too, i'll have to talk to some of the local dealers because i plan on doing some different modifications and dont want to pay for the upgrades on the sxt that i would be replacing anyway.

You should just get the SXT. I got mine for $24,500. The only "paid" option mine has is the sunroof. The extra safety features are all built into the price. TRUST ME, you need the stability control on this vehicle, it's worth every penny. The SXT does not have to come loaded with goodies if you don't want it, but the 3.5L plus the safety stuff is very nice to have. I would not recommend the SE at all. All the reviews I've read of the 2.7 are horrible, but I can't speak from any personal experience or test drive. I did not even drive the R/T, just the SXT and it sold me instantly.
