My speedometer and tachometer just stopped working but the fuel guage, temperature guage, and odometer are all working fine. I had to drive 3 hours guaging how fast I was going by what everyone was doing on the interstate :=) Any ideas would be appreciated. It's a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan sport.

Once I had about the same problem. The speedometer was giving me different readings every 3 seconds.I was going about 100 KMH and the next thing you know the thing pointed 120.Got back down to 60 and up to zero.For no reason.But after I opened the hood. I saw that the cables that were coming from the computer ( its a bundle of wires...you cant miss it) were getting a little caught by the belt and we getting cut.
Inspect that bundle of wires.
