I want my car back so bad, I'm sick of driving that PT junk. I had to take the car into a real SRT dealer on Wed night and it has been there and will be there all weekend and who knows how long after that. I took it in becasue it keeps blowing the #21 fuse just out of the blue. They have it wired all weird now trying to figure what component is making it blow but now it wont frikin blow a fuse. ERRRRRRR. This is making me mad. Worse part is there driving it all over town, and crap trying to make it blow, and it aint just one driver it is like 12 13 plus different mechanics, salesman, and who else knows and when I get it back it will have a ton more miles than I took it there with. I mean those are miles I could have pleasure driven. :( :(:( Sorry I just had to vent.

I also forgot to add, they have been on the phone with Chrysler and they don't have any idea what is wrong, this has never happened before.

tell them to give you another srt4 and they could keep your old one.. or they could drop in a new srt4 motor in it for the convienience of the owner.. you know i mean

Well I picked it up with 200 extra miles on it and a frikin almost empty tank. I had to fill theres up they should have done the same. They have it set up now so the fuse that keeps blowing is set up so that each component it is connected to has a seperat 10 amp fuse. 2 in the engine and one under the car by the fuel pump. Now I have to wait for one of them to blow when I'm driving it and it dies, than replace it and take it back in. I say chrysler should give me a BOV for cost since they put 200 miles on my car and not figure it out. I know they never would but o well I can dream.

Funny... that's what someone from here suggested doing if I recall correctly. And that is a bunch of crap about the gas... AND the mileage. I know when you get a rental you always return it with as much gas as when you picked it up. If it had gas in it when you dropped it off, I'd call BS on them and make them fill up the car.
The mileage... all they'll say is "road test to try and get it to blow" which sucks cause there's nothing that can be done about it... except rag the piss out of the next rental you get from them.

O yeah bubba. I should have put a temporary :D DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT :D sticker on there. I must have looked gay in there. Atleast I felt like a gay guy cruzin the street. I got some looks in that car, I dont think they were your cool looks tho :D I wouldn't ever wanna buy that car because if other people drive it like they stole it to that thing is bound to blow up hehehe :D hehehehehe :D If I get another rental car I should request that used benz on the lot hehe, look like a rich guy for a week. :D

Yup, everytime I get a rental... I pay that extra 10 bucks or whatever for the extra insurance... cause I know it's very possible I'll need it. lol

It makes me wonder what is going on with DC when I see posts like this and the recent problem I had. I'm an electronics tech, and what they are doing by splitting your harness and adding fuses is BS. It sounds like shotgun trouble shooting to me, meaning if you try enough things and throw enough parts at it something is going to work.
I recently purchased my wife a new 04 Neon SXT. A fairly basic car, at 1485 miles the timing belt and water pump had to be replaced. From then on it had a rough idle. I took it back several times and was told that there was nothing wrong, it didn't run that way when I bought it.
In the end she has a 05 SRT4 and hasn't had any problems yet. And are they going to pay you to troubleshoot the problem? I mean you have to watch the fuses and note which one blows and then take it back again.

Its been back, they charged me some. I had to pay for the gas they filled in it to drive around and test it 150 miles or so. A holes.

I hope that you have been in touch with DC. My lemon was back 2 times for the same problem and DC had no idea. The dealership I was going to never entered the problem into the computer, they kept telling me they could not duplicate the problem. I ended up with the service manager in the car showing him what it was doing, he didn't have much to say after that. I know for your problem that would be impossible. What circuit does fuse 21 protect?
Also tell them about the gas issue and mileage, they charge people that have a leased vehicle for going over the alloted mileage why shouldn't you get the same. If you don't ask you will never know. :)
