'Didn't leave the house meaning to buy, but I found what seems to be a cream puff in the possession of some hungry salesmen.

I just brought home my '95 Intrepid ES. It's absolutely immaculate, with: 3.5 liter, 16" alloy rims, leather, full power options, Infinity sound w/CD and power antenna, Keyless entry, !!!AUTO dimming mirror?!?! ("now isn't that special?"), Overhead trip computer w/storage. Is the floor shifter an option? Is this the oft-mentioned "auto stick"?Why is it "preferred"?

Going through the owner's manual, the only thing mentioned I don't have is the sun roof.

With 117,000 miles I paid $2500 plus a trade in that I was just as happy to get out of my driveway.
Hungry? They were asking $5000, then they agreed to the trade-in without even seeing the truck!

I guess I am part of the club now. I all ready have questions but I won't throw them all out at once.

Thanks for help, folks.

I have a 99 with the wheel shake issue :<, my buddie has a 98 concorde with the same wheel shake issue, my other buddie has a 2000 interepid with the same wheel shake issue, lady at my childs daycare has a 2000 same wheel shake issue. I replaced the caliper, rotors, and pads 3 times still have sickening brake squeal (all the time). I checked every aspect of the suspension and found nothing loose or worn bushings. I did the recall on the PCM, and by buddie just got the seat belt recall. Same with my buddies 98, can't figure it out. Tranny pan leaked heavily at 25K (I fixed that for $7.00 filter gasket) (warranty co-pay $25 80 miles round trip or dealer $70 <---- not worth it. I have come to a conclusion. If someone could please tell me whats up with the wheel shake/steering wheel shake/ while braking I would surely keep my car. I am going to give the dealer 1 chance only to find it or I am gonna get rid of it. Its a shame because I was planning on removing the the two upper cats and replace with straight pipe and 02 sim, replace my air intake with a cai, cat-back, tint, and 2Kwatt stereo that I have sitting in my basement. If anyone has any insight to what that wheel shake problem is send me and e-mail at trucavalier@yahoo.com or IM me at trucavalier (msn) trucavalier (yahoo). TY PS I got engine, and body pics but haven't uploaded them off the digital yet.

This problem has come up in this forum in the past and for some reason seems to escape diagnosis by weekend warriors and professionals alike. I guess I just got lucky. Open your hood; jack up your drivers side front tire at the lower ball joint area; If I remember correctly...you may have to remove the intake air duct that connects to the intake manifold. now grab the tire and wiggle it back and forth WHILE looking at the point where the steering linkage connects to the rack and pinion steering unit. If there's any slop, the bushing is worn out and the $35.00 linkage needs to be replaced. If thats not it, try the passenger side. It seems so far to only happen on the drivers side though. GOOD LUCK!
Steve
