could someone tell me what will be effected since i changed the stock 18" rims and tires to 22" 265/35/22? im guessing the speedometer/odometer need to be recalibrated but how about the other components of the car. does the change effect ESP, ABS, mileage, other performance factors? it seems this car is very technologically advanced so i just want to make sure i do not damage anything. also, i plan to swap out the tires/rims back to stock come winter time. i was thinking that roughly 1/2 the year i would roll on the 22"s and the other 1/2 on my stocks. i hope i do not have to recalibrate twice a year if the dealer even does recalibrations.

You just need to take it into the dealer and have them program the new size into the computer. It will automatically compensate for the changes. They shouldn't charge you much if anything.

Nothing is required. Just be aware that there is a 3.7% difference between the tires (734rpm/708rpm). Therefore, with the 22s you will be traveling 3.7% faster than indicated, 57mph not 55; and going 3.7% farther, 1037 miles not 1000, than indicated!! :evillaugh

I can just see me trying to do math as I'm haulin some ass.
The cop would be all like "you know how fast you were goin?"
and I'd be all like " 3.7, carry the two to the second power... Really freakin' fast!?"
Life can be simpler. Let em calibrate it for ya.

:dunno: What's so hard about "I'm goin' a little faster than the speedo says!"!!

If you get stopped, it won't be because you're doin' 57, not 55!! :drivingz:

:dunno: "Gee, Officer, maybe it's those big tires my wife made me buy!!" :dunno:
