Hello every one you got a new guy with a question amagine that! :D .I have just bought a 98 durango and last night i was going thru everything you know replacing plugs oil and so on and noticed a leak comming from what looks like the back side of the transfer case it looks like transfluid.Whats back their that could leak :help:

rear trans seal, many sensors, and sometimes the gasket where the case splits can leak too. The area where the t-case bolts to the trans can leak also, there is a ton of places it can leak from. Best thing to do is get some denatured alcohol or some kind of cleaner that doesn't tear up rubber seals and clean the thing up, drive it for a little bit and look where it's leaking from.

there is a seal between the transmission and transfer case, looks like a shaft seal, the transmission sometimes leaks into the transfer case through this seal, also like stated earlier the the transfer case splits in 2, there is a gasket that leaks
I am very familiar with this repair, I just had it done 3 days ago, $350. for a complete transfer case reseal :VHOT:
