Need new tires before our annual Thanksgiving trek. The local tire shop has Dayton Quadra LE or Cordovan Tour Plus in stock. Size is stock 215/65-16 for our 2003 GC. Does anyone have experience with these tires?

Are either of these comparable to General Altima HP/RT, Kumho Solus KR21, Yokohama AVID TRZ or Michelin Hydroedge which all have good reviews here and at tirerack?

Thanks for your input!

I went with the Dayton....98T rating, nothing fancy but they look nice and tread depth is good.

No replies. Unfortuantly, probably none of us has had experience with those tires you listed. Let us know how good they are.

Have the AVID on my Lexus ( but not on my van )
Great traction in all conditions ( except deep snow ) quiet, smooth, good tread life. Premium priced though.

I am not sure if i have heard of Cordorvan but with Dayton if you are out of town it would be easier to get a new tire to match the other 3 if 1 tire was to far gone to be fixed.

Premium priced though.
They weren't priced that bad IMHO, currently on the TR only $77/ea. if I remember right. Seems fairly competative to the other offerings listed.
