90 GC 3.3 engine. I have already replaced the fuel pump, and the fuel pressure relay.

When driving and the engine appears to get hot (no boilover, so may be guage/sender) the engine dies. Will restart have a brief good rpm flash but then when at idle stumbles and dies. When the rpms do stay up, will not accellerate or anything. Barely will pull itself out of an intersection or further off the road. Will start but does all of the above all over again.

Need some ideas, dont know where the OBD port is, I only have one for Fords (obd 1) so right now no codes.

Just needing some ideas of what this could be or where to find the OBD port. I am wondering if it is a MAF/MAS issue since it will not accellerate or anything but will start. The fuel rail has good pressure when it dies.

Thanks Hank

My father in-law had this problem. Turned out to be the crank sensor that is attached to the trasmission.

OK will the crank sensor show DTC? I would think it would, but at any rate I put the thing on a scanner and no DTC's found.

I do have a leaking radiator and so I guess maybe that it shut itself off due to over heating (without showing on gauge!).

Any other ideas?
