I went offroading... hit some bump... The front right Axle came our from the Diff side!

While still in the desert... removed the front right wheel, removed the wheel assembly, put back the Axle where it was supposed to be... drove out of the desert using 4HI...

when I hit the tarmac, I switched back to AWD.

I almost got home, when the car just stopped! The Axle rubber thingy that is attached to the wheel gave way... The car would not move!

I put it back in 4HI... the car went on as normal :rck:

Made it all the way home and called recovery in the morning!

 Any ideas why this happened? DO you guys know if this is usually covered in the 60,000 mile warranty?!?!

Could this have been caused by my Rancho Suspension Lift Kit? its the first time I take it offroad after installing the kit!

I doubt the lift kit would have anything to do with it unless the axle had to be removed during installation and was improperly reinstalled. But you can be dollars to donuts the dealer will use it as THE reason not to cover the axle under warranty if it is still covered (check your warranty manual with the owners manual for details on what is covered at this point and what is not). They legally can't turn you away if it is covered, but they will try the first time around to see if you go for the bait.

It probably is from the Lift kit since you have to drop the diff to install the kit. You're gonna have to go back to whoever installed the kit or take it to a qualified Off-Road shop, or Mechanic re install it

By the way... I did shed around $650 to get it fixed... I promised myself to take it easy offroading! I will stick to top-speeding the baby!

I did manage to get 0-60 in the 7 second range and the 1/4 mile in the 14 second range... need more power! dunno where to harvest it from ... any ideas?
