Borla exhaust has released its aftermarket exhaust for the Magnum. Part number 140112 installs using a slip fit connection just after each catalytic converter and is made from full aircraft quality T304 stainless steel. It is a split rear exiting system with two Borla embossed 3 ½” oval, rolled edge, angle cut tips at each opening in the rear valence. This system consists of a 2.25”x-pipe leading to two 19” long, 9 1/2” wide oval mufflers. Exiting each muffler is a 2.25” intermediate pipe to each 11.00” long x 10.00” wide rear muffler/tip assemblies. R&D testing has shown that our system flows up to 220 cfm more than the factory exhaust (for a total flow of 932 cfm @ 70” H2O) and has shown an increase of up to 16 additional horsepower and 8 ft lbs of torque. 140112 weights in at 54 lbs. while the factory system weights in at 83 lbs. 140112 averages 1.5db louder than the factory exhaust.
We will also be releasing an identical system with 5" tips as seen on the "DUB edition" Magnum.

David,
Good stuff!!! Now how about a direct bolt on exhaust for the '04 Dodge Durango w/ the HEMI...I feel that this setup would be well received being that you would be first to market!!

Sound good to me, and thanks for the quick response. Is a dual/rear exit exhaust in the works?? I ask because it is a very tight fit but I have seen it done on this site by a skilled exhaust shop. Any kind of a setup would surely be a HUGE improvement over the stock with the monster muffler which I'm sure is restrictive as heck AND the addition of a resonator!! I know this was done for cabin silence but some of us bought a HEMI for the performance aspect. I currently have only done the following performance upgrades to my Durango:
- K&N Aircharger intake
- Royal Purple fluids

What kind of sound do you get out of the new system? Not too loud, I hope. How about gas mileage? Has anyone done tests?

David,
Thanks for posting. I appreciate business folks who know where there bread is buttered (car enthusiasts in your industry). I think that you should know that I've been tinkering with exhaust mods for a few weeks trying different combos, etc. I've always remebered that no matter what I screwed up, I could always get a great cat back system from you. I would've purchased your initially, but I thought the cost was just a little too high.

I looked up the price here in So Cal, at the discount retailer Pep Boys, and the price was around $960.
This is a little high for my tastes.
But, I will swear by the Borla system though. I installed one on my V8 Explorer a few years ago, and it has a beautiful appearance and sound. Not too loud, very troaty, and no drone. Have really loved it, and still do. Too bad the Magnum price is so high !!

I'm going to these sites for information, not to be censored by some A$$hole.
I'll be on ************* or dodgemagnum.net from now on.
BTW - I had a Borla on my '94 Cadillac STS and it was Sweeet!
