I had 400 miles left on a platinum extended warranty by Fidelity. I took it in there because the heat was giving me trouble and I thought it was slipping or hesitating. What they told me is this:
Radiator leaking - replace - not sure where it was leaking because it was NOT on the ground.
Power steering pump leaking - not sure where didn't see that either - replace it.
Rack n pinion (sp) fixed
Valve cover gaskets are leaking - need to be replaced.
Check engine line was the resutl of a a crack in a 4 inch hose for pollution control.
1 bushing in the front end.
Fidelity stated they would pay all of it except the bushing. I can live with that the dealership said it was NOT urgent and could wait.
My question is, I suppose they know what they are doing but it didn't seem like the heat was a result of a radiator because I had heat when I was driving, but not when I was idle.
The total bill is about $3000.00 my cost will be the $100.00 deductible, and $139.00 for an extra transmission scan I asked for.
