I'm only interested in the Hemi versions and supercharging in the future. I can't really find a 300C-specific forum, so I hope none of you mind if I mention it frequently on this one. I'm looking at a Spring/Summer 2005 purchase and I'd just like to have all my facts together before jumping in.
As a current 1996 Impala/Caprice SS owner, I was looking at a Mercury Marauder as a replacement until I saw these beasts at the auto show. V8/RWD American muscle is my life. I understand the influence and part-sharing with MB, but I'm 75% German, so I don't mind if my car is too... ;)
I'll be posting from time to time asking dumb questions or very specific and hard to answer questions. I'll start off with this question: Is Chrysler going to release the 300C wagon anytime soon?
Thanks a lot in advance, I look forward to being part of this forum and eventually being part of a Mag or 300C... :rck: :rck:
EDIT: I should mention that I've test-driven the 300C and Marauder several times and I'll admit I must have been drunk to consider the MM...

There is a 300C wagon overseas, but I haven't heard anything about it coming here. If you can wait the new charger is coming, all wheel drive magnum and 300's, SRT versions of the 300 and charger, a 6.1 Hemi with a 6 speed manual for the charger, and possibly a 300 convertible.

Hi Nick.. I've driven both the MM and the 300c and my first impression of both was quite different. I like the looks of the Mercury. All that black is awesome! My first impression on start up was.. Too quiet. Second thing I thought was, the heads on that engine are ungodly HUGE! But most of all, when I mashed the gas from a 45 roll... it made a lot of noise but did not go like i thought it should. The car suddenly felt BIG. Maybe because it is.
Now the 300C. When I mashed that beast from a 45 roll, it pushed me back into the seat..HARD. That was what I would expect from 335 horses. The MM with 305 HP should have felt like it had more power to me. All my opinion, of course. The 300 was too quiet too. But it is a family car after all.

Hi Guys,
"Midnight Rider" and "Nick Danger"--shared 70's recollections. :)
But back to the present. For other 300c-inclusive forums,
try 300cforums.com and dodgemagnum.net -- You'll see
me there too.
Of course the cars are more similar than different, and
most info applies to both. I'm leaning towards the 300c
because I want the options (HID headlamps, stereo) and
styling.
My ideal would be the European 300c Touring wagon.
As you can see from the photo of the black one, it
comes with the US Magnum wheels. I really like the look. :D
Welcome!
Best,
George Ferguson

Yes, like dredville said Dodgemagnum.net is a great site with lots of info on these cars!
For me, I need the space to haul stuff, so I'm planning to get a Magnum as my second car sometime in the fall of '05. I'll be that guy in the Dodge commercial with a surfboard crammed in the back of the wagon.:) And yes, I'm getting a HEMI too.
I love the look of the 300C but I just couldnt do with a sedan. ANd no, Chrysler says it wont sell the 300 Touring wagon here in the US because it would cannibalize Magnum sales. In Europe they dont offer the Magnum, so the 300 wagon is made for that market.

Hmm, I didn't realize they weren't bringing it over to the States... :( I knew it existed and that's probably the one I'd buy. Well, I guess I need to decide upon a wagon or sedan. The sedan has the 60/40 rear seats, which really appeal to me because of the potential utility. I refuse to put a bike rack on my car, so being able to place the bike in without disassembly is huge for me.
I suppose I could always import the 300C Wagon from Europe, I've always like being different. Anyway, thanks for all the welcomes and info on other forums. This will be an interesting 10 months while I prepare for my purchase... :rck:

In case it makes a difference, both vehicles offer bike racks that
fit into the standard hitch receiver. I kind of like that, but don't
know if it suits you.
