computer question

so i was pondering today what kind of mods i eventually want to do to my truck, once i get it on the road that is. my question is at what point do i have to start messing with the computer? mine is a 1993 W150 with the 5.2. I live in a state that requires emissions testing (not CA) so that is a concern. I plan on adding long tube headers, and completely new exhaust from the engine back. i would like to install a new cam as well, and that is were my question comes in. how much latitude do i have before i have to tune the computer? any help would be appreciated.

Hey man, If you want a good chip check out http://www.jetchip.com. They have a stage II chip for the 5.2 adds like 30hp.

You need the 02 sensor to work correctly. On long tube headers it needs to be relocated to the collector and the wires extended. It also must be a heated sensor due to the distance from the engine. (4 wire, not 1 wire)
