I'm looking into purchasing an RT AWD, within the week. There is a guy that has an RT for sale and says that it's AWD, but there is NO decals on the back hatch.

I'm sure it's not going to be hard to tell, but since I'm going to have to crawl underneath it to actually see if it truly is AWD, however, I can't find any photos of what the transfercase or front axle looks like.

Plus I'd like to make sure that there isn't any frame damage, so having a few pics of the undercarriage would be nice.

Thanks!

I understand your concern, I own a 07 rt awd, the easiest way to check with out getting under the beast, turn the steering wheel all the way, you will be able to see the front wheel drive shaft, as far as photos go...sorry only have the shinny side...got luck, let me know if you get it...not too many AWD R/Ts around

Besides how it sits and the wheels, and some other obvious ones....

The brakes on the 2 are different. An AWD RT will have the front brake calipers on the front side of the rotors, and the RWD will have the brake calipers on the back side. Meaning the AWD calipers are close to the front of the fender and the RWD caliper is closer to the door.

An easy way to tell is to look inside on the passenger floor board. There will be a big hump sticking out where the front differential is. The caliper is the other easy way to tell (already mentioned above). AWD has the caliper in the front of the wheel and RWD has it on the rear side of the wheel.
