Well today on the way to church, I was rounding a corner, and slowing way down because there was some gravel from construction, and had it in Second stuck in the clutch, was just pulling it back out and putting in the gas to accleerate and it died. No luck getting it started again and it had to get towed :( :( :( :( . Man was that sad, and wow was the bumper close to hitting the piece that extends from the bottom of the tow truck, because the car is so low, luckly just the plastic piece under neath scraped and not the bumper. I just don't know what is wrong, if it is the clutch or a sending unit. The battery works because you stick in the clutch and try to start it and the air and the radio come on put it wont turn over, it will click a little from the outside but nothing. As you most know, I'm 15 and now my dad says if it is the clutch I will probably be saying goodbye to the SRT-4. :( I would cry if that happened. God I hope not, just the thought gets me sick to my stomach. He has never had luck with 4 cylinders, and says it aint worth having if it is gonna break down at 4500 miles. Anyone have any ideas, I'm hoping it is just a sending unit or something, even though it is under warranty.

I haven't driven a stick in years, but do you still need to have the clutch in for it to start? I'm sure you do for safety reasons. Is it possible that the switch under the clutch just stuck. The reason I say this, is because your problem occured right after you shifted.

I hope it is just something simple like that, it was weird it acted as if it does when you start out from first and don't give it enough gas and just kills, but it didn't jerk you like it does when you are just starting out. I hope it is nothing serious.

Ok here's another thought. You did mention that the fan and radio will work, but it won't start. Have some one jump start it. If it will start but die when the jumper cables are removed, you have a faulty battery. Just because it's fairly new doesn't mean the battery is ok. A friend of mine had a brand new Grand Prix and the battery was shot at 100 miles. Just something to consider.

Well it is out of my hands now, someone also said maybe disconnet battery, but I don't know, its at the dealer adn will be in the garge first thing in the morning. You may have apoint mopar fan, the windows were just tinted firday, and he had to have the iginition turned on, so he could roll windows up and down quick when he needed, but it started right up after that and I took it to town ( 3miles on way) the other day and worked fine, but just this moring right before I was gonna park it it quit. It seems to always happen to us on our new cars about that mileage, It happened to the Hemi and now the SRT-4. Hemi they say was our fault but who knows.
