I'm about buying a Dodge Caravan 2000 SE.It has 100,000 KM mileage on it.It seems to have a good mechanics and engine and clean in the inside. They are selling it for 7500 CAD?
Is it a good price?
Thanks :SPIN:

Rough estimating the exchange rate and km to mi conversion, the price sounds good.
Have you checked pricing with Kelley Blue Book (KBB.com) or NADA.com or Edmunds.com?? Have you compared to Autotraderdotcom or Carsdotcom? The lowball (black book) numbers are found in NADA. This is what I use to buy & the one's the insurance industry uses to valuate cars that have been totalled. The Edmunds and KBB numbers are high ball "wish numbers" that sellers hope to get.
NADAdotcom is how used car buyers, insurance adjusters and dealers estimate the value of vehicles. I would think you could simply convert from US to CAN funds without too much error, although US dealers are, in fact, buying up Canadian cars and importing them for US sale. This tells me the Canadian used car market is sagging and prices are significantly lower than the exchange rate.
I just bought a fairly loaded 2001 Grand Caravan Sport with 50K miles & paid $10,500 US funds. That is a good price. The 2001 model year is the first for the current bodystyle, so it's price is a good bit higher than 2000 model.
