Ok, since i've been reading about this and its been a popular topic on how to improve your A/C performance, I decided to do it today. Its very simple, and well worth it. My truck is a 2006 ram hemi 1500, but this applies to all years and models.

Parts required:
3/4" Braided Brass Ball Valve, I picked mine up from lowes for under $10
Two hose clamps

Tools required:
Two clamps, I used c-clamps
Cutters or razor blade
Screw driver to tighten the clamps

Procedure:

Figure out which line is the feed line, and which is the return line. For my 06 hemi, the feed line was the top line going into the fire wall. It may be different for the 4.7 and 3.7, but it should be the same because all trucks use the same air box.

1. Clamp the line with your clamps leaving enough room to work with.
2. Cut the line
3. Insert the ends into the valve
4. Install and tighten the hose clamps
5. Remove clamps holding the line
6. Turn the truck on, heater on high, and check for leaks
7. Thats it, your done!
