This should work on ALL Second Gen RAMS.

As far as I know, there are two ways to gain access to the in-tank fuel pump. Either raise the truck and drop the tank, or remove the bed. I chose the latter.

Unbolt the rear bumper (6 bolts I think).
*Don't forget to disconnect the wiring.*

Unbolt the bed from underneath (long bed= 8bolts, short bed= 6)
*Disconnect wiring*

Un hook the metal part of the gas filler from the rubber part.

Have 3 friends help you lift and remove the bed. (Can always remove the tailgate to lighten it some.)
(it is probably easier to support the truck with jackstands and remove the rear tires, I however did not)
*Possible Alternatives*
Engine hoist anchored in the corner stake pockets.
Rope, pulley and a big tree.

The bed is fairly light, so once you have everything unhooked and unbolted try to lift it up, if it doesn't move, don't force it, you probably forgot something. (I only loosened the filler neck connection and didn't actually seperate it. I ended up breaking the plastic suround that you see behind the gas filler door.)

Now you have access to the top of the tank.

When you re-mount the bed, have a friend there to help you "bump" it around to line up the holes.
