Wow didn't take long for a moderator to move this out of easy sight of the mod happy truck guys. :WHT:

Wonder what the Kenne Bell kits will do on a stock block 5.7 or 6.1? Heard they were shipping em out now for the Chally.

where? Wish all those guys would post up in dragtimes so we could get a better feel for how fast a heavily modified new gen hemi can go if it was in something a tad more race appropriate than a truck.
9.79 - What is that, about 6.3's in the 1/8 th? Geez it would a lot work just to get NHRA legal to run down a track that that speed.

I was at that event last week. That was one of my customers Lou 1355 taking him out in that run. The two fastest cars their were two magnums running 10.0-10.1 best times that day: Hemi C who is running an inertia tune and HHP/BES engine and Lou 1355 who is running Inertia heads and ported intake with a Pro line engine and both of course running a decent amount of boost. The car above belongs to Trojan and is running HHP parts and tune and definitely has more as Cam and Trojan only got it running like a week before the event and didn't have much time to sort it out. Also noteworthy was Adams stock block SRT Challanger with a Kenny bell which was running in the 10.7 range. Thats real impressive for a stock bottom end but he doesn't expect it to last long. It was actually a pretty slow track and day. The weather wasn't bad but it was humid and that track is like 1200-1300 day so it was about 1800 DA if it had been better Hemi C and Lou would have been in the 9's easy.

Steve with RDP wasn't out their which surprised me because his shop isn't that far away. If that 9.7 pass is the run Steve told me about it was at E town and because he wasn't teckhed for it they didn't flash the time on the board or give him a time slip but I don't doubt his car can do it.

What sort of boost is he running on the srt8 stock block and how much do you think can "safely" be run on stock block vs the a compression built bottom?
Or did he do something else to lower the NA compression ratio?
The only supercharged SRT8 I've seen run around here (at the 1/8 mile) didn't impress me as being all that quick.

What he's doing is by no means safe. He's just seeing what the stock bottome end will take. He's running stock compression. I know I asked him how much boost he was running but we were drinking beer in the bar and I can't remember for sure but I think it's like 12 psi. From what I understand it's a stock fuel system with a boost a pump. That changes alot of things people thought before too.
