This is the part about (3:21) mpg's

"Adding a new rear axle is a relatively easy way to help improve fuel economy however Dodge (for now) has restated last year's 14/20 mpg city/highway EPA gas mileage ratings for two-wheel drive 5.7-liter half-ton Rams. Could we see a slight fuel economy bump later in the year? Stay tuned."

Your tow rating will be lower than the other trucks with those gears.

Yea because the Hemi needs to spin up a bit to get into its best torque range. But if you are buying a serious tower for towing heavy loads often you are probably stepping up to a diesel anyway. I think the new Hemi is a great light duty truck engine. Just if you plan to tow with it that you should opt for at least the 3.55 and better yet the 3.92. It did the 6500lb uphill test better than anyone else. I do wish Dodge and others would rate their fuel economy not only by model but also by axel ratio. I am sure the city/hwy of the same 1500 would be measurably different from the the 3.21 to the 3.92. It might be interesting to see if their was much difference in the average also.

If the new Dodge can reach 21mpg with the rest of the gang I would be surprised. The Dodge has 50+ horse on them too.

I know plenty of Toyota owners and Chevy, and Ford ,not getting 21 mpg..I hit 20.8 (hand calc)on a trip to San Antonio, full highway, cruise set on 65 A/C on. Also my truck has only 6,500 miles on it

A regular cab Ram 1500 with a 3.21 rear axle is rated to tow up to 6,100 pounds with 17-inch wheels or up to 5,900 pounds with 20-inch wheels. The Crew Cab can pull up to 5,700 pounds and a Quad Cab can tow up to 5,800 pounds. A 17-inch wheel is the only wheel option for the Quad Cab and Crew Cab configurations.

So the 2010 CC and QC won't come with 20's?

When they say the 17" rim is the only option on Quad and Crew, they mean with the 3.21 ratio. You can still get the 20" rims on any of the cabs. But you will have different gears.
