I was wondering if there is a way to get the codes off a 1994 Intrepid without taking it to a shop. I know on newer cars you can get them off of the odometer but mine is not digital. I am having the transmision not shifting out of second problem and am trying to figure out if it is the input or output sensor. Thanks for any help.

You could just take the car to a place like autozone where they can scan your cars codes and tell you what came up.....

I have a 94 intrepid to and would like to find a way to check the codes without bringing to the garage as i do not trust my car to make there without stalling on me
Cycle your key on and off three times. watch for the "check engine" light.
it will start to flash..
example: flash, short pause, flash, flash is code 12.
there will be a longer pause between new codes...
