transmission is stuck

1997 Chrysler Town and Country LXI 3.8L (totally rebuilt trans/torque converter approx 3 years ago) am wondering if any one has ever used Walmart brand super tech multi -vehicle ATF trans fluid in a Chrysler. I realize that Chryslers need ATF 4 - which this multi vehicle fluid claims to be suitable for. I hae a small leak in one of my trans cooler lines so every so often I have to add a little trans fluid to car. I went to Walmart and of course they were out of ATF 4 , so I purchased this multi car ATF bake of bottle reads ,"suitable for use in Chrysler automatic transmissions requiring the 3 and 4 Chrysler Automatic trans fluid. bottle also reads top off or refill. I added about 1/2 QT drove approx 40 miles, and trans just stopped working, no forward, no reverse, no neutral. HELP!

Seems as though it would have taken more than 1/2 quart of non ATF4 fluid to do something that drastic to the tranny, considering how many quarts there are in the pan and torque converter. It may just be coincidental.

I have the same problem with my 2000 3.3L Caravan since almost day one and I have been topping off with mostly Walmart brand ATF4 with only one fluid change in 116,000 miles and no problems yet.
